Coaches Corner
As many of you know, the success and failures of a organization depend very much on the knowledge and efforts applied by the participants. In saying that, the MWCSC Board of Directors feels as though there is more that we can do to help educate our parents, coaches, assistant coaches and team managers to provide them resources that will directly relate to their success. As such, we provide the following information:

Youth Module I (U6-U8)
The Youth I Module is designed to provide the most current information on the growth and development of the youth soccer player. The Youth I Module concentrates on developmentally appropriate activities for the U6 and U8 player, to prepare the coach to unlock the “game within the child”, provide a better understanding of the specific age characteristics and learn how to place players in age appropriate activities and gain understanding of developmental characteristics of children at this age. By developing these activities, we are allowing the game to be the teacher while providing a fun, organized, training session without too much stress on the player. Coaches are expected to participate in all activities; field/lecture/discussion. This course is typically 4 total hours in length. Although the field session is still required for the certificate, the classroom session is now condensed into an online course and can be accessed through https://education.usyouthsoccer.org/
